I have little hope of recovering all 360 degrees of the authentic tradition, but I think I, or my best students or others who read this may succeed in “accomplishing” the entire degree system of the Rite of Memphis-Misraim, fully one fourth of the ancient system, bypassing (though not necessarily being a substitution for) ritual initiation and generating profound understanding of and use for all existing systems of initiation, and enhancing the work of those involved in such systems.
The “trigger points” or “power points”, known as points chauds in the system of Gnostic Voudon as taught by T Michael Bertiaux and developed according to his methods, with due consultation with other sources, are an attempt to expand upon the empowerments and their corresponding points on the human body developed at the end of the 20th Century and the beginning of the 21st. As stated the authentic tradition may be reasonably postulated to have originated in ancient Sumer, Akad and Babylon, with heavenly correspondences to each degree of initiation in a complete circular system of 360 degrees, of which the 90 degrees of the Rite of Misraim (Egypt) represents only one fourth of the original. The earliest form of the authentic tradition was shamanic, and remnants of this system survive all over the world in aboriginal society. The first systematic system of magick appears to have come from the rich early societies of Mesopotamia, Sumer, Akkad , Babylon and related societies. There the first known system of numbers was developed, circa 5000 years ago. It is known that the Babylonians employed a sexigesimal, or base 60 system of numbers, in contrast to our base 10 system. The latter being obviously based on “counting on one’s fingers” . Various ideas have come forth to explain this curious number system, but it is obvious that all systems of language and number in ancient times were intertwined with magick and mysticism and viewed with awe, and that six sixties equals 360, the number of degrees in the Babylonian circle, held to be in concert with the wheel of the year of 360 days. While we use a base ten system, there are many survivals in our culture the Babylonian system, such as 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, and in terrestrial measurement, 360 degrees in a circle.
Now, the term “degree” also represents a marker of initiation, as in the system of 90 Degrees in the Oriental Rite of Misraim (Egypt in Hebrew). The English word descends from the Latin gradus, or step. In the end, a degree of initiation, or in the many other contexts in which the term is used, represents a step, and the Mesopotamian system in base 60 has many preoccupations with six times that number, or 360. We learn from Ctesias that the city of Babylon was built on both sides of the river in the form of a square, and enclosed within a triple row of lofty walls. Ctesias makes the outermost wall 360 stades. The legendary list of kings tends to repeat reigns of 360 years. Other “correspondences” show the survival of this predeliction in various ways, among them:
    A Divine Year for the Hindus is equivalent to 360 solar years.
    According to the Chinese medicine, the human body has 360 bones and 360 small articulations; it counts 360 points of acupuncture and 360 major drugs for the therapy.
    The 360 towers at Babylon.
    The 360 steles, altars or idols surrounding the pre Islamic Kaaba of Mecca.
    The 360 degrees of a circle and the 360 symbols of the Zodiac.
    The 360 glances of Allah in the Islamic countries. It is the number of times per day that God looks to the secret or preserved Tablet, that was the first thing created by God. (Koran 85:22)
    The 360 chapels built around the mosque of Balk.
    The 360 temples on the Lowham mountain, in China.
    The 360 statues of divinities to the palace of Daïri in Japan.
    The 360 gods of the orphism.
    In classical Qabala, ‘The Messiah’ (HMSHYCH) has a value of 360.
    In classical Qabala, the letter shin, a euphemism for God, has the value of 360.

For example, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 24, 30, 36, 40, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180, and 360 are ALL factors of 360, while 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24 are ALL factors of 24. Few numbers break down into as many handy factors, and these numbers have a lot of factors in common. So while one might use another arbitrary number, chances are such a number would be less useful when considering fractions of the whole. 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1/12, 1/15, 1/18, 1/20, 1/24, 1/30, 1/36, 1/40, 1/45, 1/60, 1/90, 1/120, and 1/180 are all handy, though the ones under 1/12 are even more so. For similar reasons, one ‘dozen’ is a handy unit in which to sell items. So regardless of how long a planet’s day is in actual time, breaking it up into 24 units is a handy thing to do.     The 360 Aeons of the gnostics.
    In the past, there were 360 days in one terrestrial year, according to Immanuel Velikovsky. Various old documents from ancient people tend to confirm it.
    The 360 sovereigns who reigned in Egypt since the first known Pharaoh until the Augustus Caesar supplanted the Pharaohs (year 1 of the Christian era).
    The 360 urns for the usage of the priests of Egypt for the libations in the honor of Osiris.
    The 360 Egyptian priests who poured every day the water of the Nile to Acanthopolis in a bored cask.
    The Athenian people erected 360 statues to Demetrius.
    The enclosing wall of Babylon built by Semiramis had 360 stages length.

    Darius divided the Gyndes into 360 channels because one of his sacred horses had drowned in this river.

    The number 360 is used 2 times in the Bible.
    There are 12 numbers in the Bible which are multiple of 360, and the sum of the occurrences of each of numbers gives 26.
    The expression ‘do not fear’ is used 360 times in the Bible, according to Pastor R. Wurmbrand.
The more correspondences to this system we discover, the more we can, as Scientific Illuminists, experiment with and verify the usefulness and accuracy of the system. The 97 Degrees in the Rite of Memphis and its 90 Degree earlier counterpart in the Rite of Mizraim are derived from a number of sources, some of which vary a bit in their attribution. The last English language refinement of the former — not necessarily the best but most accessible to the English-speaking reader, comes from John Yarker. The points chauds themselves are derived from our own experiments, suggested by teachings of Bertiaux and the late William W. Webb. The terrestrial aires were located in an old manuscript and are attributed to John Dee the Elizabethan astrologer and trace channel. At the end of this list, I have included a set of tentative acupuncture correspondences developed in concert with magician and Licensed Acupuncture Physician and researcher David Zietz. The procedural approach I now propose is as follows:
A.    All recipients of points chauds beyond a few should be invested with the “power and wisdom” of the ancient priesthoods, if not with the actual priesthoods themselves, as “containments” for the energies transmitted.
B.    All recipients should be encouraged to keep notes and share with other participants the results of empowerments as they progress, be they positive, negative or neutral.
C.    The points should be administered in “sacred space” or “power zones”. While room should be made for spontaneous empowerments, on the whole the recipients should study the points and their correspondences, the antient degrees with which they are associated, and should indicate themselves out of their own intuition and study and experience which points are to be empowered on a given occasion, by word and gesture, and should determine the number of points they are comfortable assimilating on a given occasion.

In the accompanying table we present the points chauds and correspondences as originally developed for this research project in the 1990s, keyed on the 97 degree system of Memphis. The researcher can quick-reference the points and degrees in The Compleat Rite of Memphis.
Integrated with this table is information about corresponding acupuncture points, based on the work of David Zeitz, a Florida-based certified acupuncturist who has attempted to correlate these specific points with acupuncture points in common. Take note that there are far more acupuncture ‘points’ than the 90-plus degrees in this system, let alone systems of 33 or 9 degrees. It is conjectured that other points in acupuncture may eventually give clues to undiscovered or lost correspondences.
Finally, following the listing, I quote without comment some of the most exotic, speculative ideas considered in recent decades on the origin of magical knowledge in relationship to this system. These comments should be taken as speculation, and no more. Before the 1940s the Sumerian civilization was completely buried in the mists of history, though its effects on the science, religion and other aspects of Mesopotamian and other civilizations were known to us from successor cultures.

Where in Hell did Sexagismal numbers come from?

Maybe we should start with the question: What is a sexagismal number? We deal with sexagismal numbers all the time ( yes, that was a very bad pun). sexagismal numbers are based upon fractions of 60. Sexigismal numbers are the bases of our measures of degrees , minutes, seconds and hours, minutes, and seconds. Now we have a new question: How did the division of a circle and the division of a day come to have the same fractional components? The answer lies in a number system based on the sum of fractions of 60 that preceded both the notions of length of a day and division of the circle. As you might guess from that statement, sexagismal numbers are old; very old.

Greek astronomy held that the daily passage of the sun through the heavens relative to the fixed stars was a constant angular distance. The passage took approximately 360 days (hey, who’s counting?) and the concept of the degree was born. It’s interesting to note that we have lived with a system of measure based upon an incorrect estimate of the length of a year and a model of planetary motion that was just plain wrong.

To get to the first vestiges of a base 60 numeric system we have to go back almost 6000 yes to the region then known as Sumeria. Sumerians were the first city dwellers. They actively traded goods, owned land, and by all accounts, had their share of disputes about price, ownership and value. In short: same problems, different millennia. The trade issues necessitate the development of a written language, and numerical system. They weren’t worried about recording history, they were interested in recording profit. The mathematics of Sumeria preceded the invention of an alphabet by a few millennia, so it took a bit of time to decipher what they were recording and the numerology had a profound defect, which I’ll talk about in a moment. Like the modern Arabic notation we use, the Sumerian numerical system was ordered right to left. For comparison purposes, let’s take a look at our system first. The number 349 is really a short form of the numeric expression (3*100) + (4*10) + (1*9) + (0). The Sumerian expression 3,4,9 could mean (3*60) + (4*1) + (9/60) or it might mean (3*1) + (4/60) + (9/360). The numerology of Sumeria was context based, they didn’t have a position for zero. They could form numbers with extreme precision, but without a context, the magnitude remains unknown.

The Sumerians recorded their numbers on clay tablets using a stylus. Tables were calculated of fractions of 60 and numerical equivalents were derived for sums of fractions. The clay dried and the records, while somewhat hard to decipher, represented a monumental amount of accumulated calculation. This effort was, as they say, “cast in stone”. Over 4 millennia, Sumeria came and went, but those hardened tablets were recorded by many later civilizations .The beauty of the Sumerian system lay in it’s extreme precision in fractions. The factors of 60 are 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,12, 15, 20 and 30. In the base 10 system the factors are 1,2, and 5. There is no exact numerical representation for the value of 1/3 in a base 10 system but in Sumerian notation it is simply 20/60. The paradox of Sumeria is the extreme precision coupled with a total lack of accuracy. This a common mathematical thread which holds older civilizations together. The fractions that the Sumerians labor sly cast in stone would become the basis for calculation of astronomical movements 4000 years later by the Greeks, and used in timing calculations to land a man on the moon over 6 millennia later.

The Mathematics

The ancient cultures divided the sky into 36 “night stations” of stars. These could be divided into a total of 108 (36 x 3) segments or sars (Latvian zar- = “branch”) for better detail. I simply calibrated the data by potentiating 108 by 10 to get 1080 (= 360 x 3) and then dividing by 3. This was applied to the individual “reigns” of the (Sumerian) kings. to get the degrees of arc of the circle.
For example, we potentiate 20 sars x 10 = 200. Then we divide by 3, which gives 66.66 degrees (of 360 degrees). When we do this with all of the lengths of reign, the total is 360°. Hence, the ancients are simply “sectioning” their ancient heavenly “clock” of stars. therefore

Each length of “reign” of a Sumerian “son of God”applies to a particular NAMED “heavenly” region of the 360-degree “circle” of heaven.

The length of “reign” listed for each alleged “king” is the distance in heliacal rising star days between consecutive “NAMES” on the list of kings. These names are identified in detail subsequently as specific stars in the heavens, moving within these six “heavenly houses”, which 6 preceded the division of the heavens into 12.

The current official Iranian calendar begins on the vernal equinox as determined by astronomical calculations for the Iran Standard Time meridian.
A meridian is an imaginary arc on the Earth’s surface from the North Pole to the South Pole that connects all locations running along it with a given longitude. The position of a point on the meridian is given by the latitude. Each meridian is perpendicular to all circles of latitude at the  (52.5°E or GMT+3.5h). This determination of starting moment is more accurate than the Gregorian calendar.The Gregorian calendar is the internationally accepted civil calendar. It was first proposed by the Calabrian doctor Aloysius Lilius, and decreed by Pope Gregory XIII, after whom the calendar was named, on 24 February 1582 by the papal bull Inter gravissimas because it is synchronized with the vernal equinox year, but requires consulting an astronomical almanac. One of the longest chronological records in human history, the Iranian calendar has been modified time and again during its history to suit administrative, climatic, and religious purposes.

In English the current calendar is sometimes called “Solar Hejri” calendar, and its years are designated AP, short for Anno Persico. The Iranian year usually begins within a day of 21 March of the Gregorian calendar. To find the corresponding year of the Gregorian calendar, add 621 or 622 (depending on the time of the year) to a Solar Hejri year.

* year: The Sumerians used a 360 day year by 2100 BC.
* week: The Babylonians introduced the seven day week, due to the belief that seven brought bad luck, so they did not want to work the seventh day.
* hour: The 12 hour day and 12 hour night originates from Mesopotamia. The length of these hours changed through the year, being equally spaced over the time of light and dark, respectively.

    Ancient Sumerians possessed extensive knowledge of the Solar system without telescopes
    In August of 1986, Voyager Two, a U.S. interstellar probe launched in 1977, began sending to Earth the first close-ups of planet Neptune. Scientists at a laboratory of jet propulsion in Pasadena, California, found a lot of amazing data while studying the pictures. First, a color scheme of Neptune surprised the researchers. It was bright blue with a few spots of white clouds. Second, a wide inclination angle of the rotation axis of the planet, which indicated a strong magnetic field, ample resources of internal heat, and a liquid core. Given the data and pictures sent by Voyager from the vicinity of Uranus in 1986, and information on Jupiter and Saturn sent by the probe some time earlier, the latest achievements of the spacecraft enabled us to take a closer look at the solar system the way we never did before.
    Were we the first ones who managed to observe most distant planets of our solar system?
    Linguist and historian Zachariah Sychin believes that data from Voyager merely confirms his predictions first published in a book titled The Twelfth Planet. The book was published in 1976.
    Sychin also believes that data obtained by the probe agree with the writings of the ancient Sumerians, the writings made 6,000 years ago. The civilization of the Sumerians emerged in Mesopotamia (now a part of Iraq) around 4000 B.C. According to Sychin, the Sumerians invented a wheel, a furnace for roasting earthenware, and an irrigation system. More importantly, they invented the basic concepts of astrology. They used cuneiform writing for putting down their discoveries on clay tablets, statuettes and stone cylinders with mirror engravings of the symbols and drawings. Positive images were produced by rolling the cylinders over the soft clay.
    Sychin had been studying articles of the Sumerian civilization for more than 30 years. One day he found a rare stone cylinder in a museum of West Berlin. Apart from the image of a god giving a plow to humankind, the cylinder also had a startling chart of the heavens showing the planets with the Sun in the center. In total, the chart contained 12 planets, the Sun and Moon inclusive.
    The researcher was astounded when he saw the image of Uranus transmitted by Voyager Two in the January of 1986. The Sumerian description of the planet – mash.sig – meaning “bright greenish”- almost matched the greenish blue picture of Uranus on his TV screen. Sychin’s translation of the Sumerian expression “hum.ba” read: “marsh plants.” He believes it indicates the presence of hot semi-liquid material that was discovered on Neptune three years later. The Sumerian regarded Uranus as Neptune’s twin brother. Data gathered by the probe seemed to confirm the point. Not unlike Uranus, Neptune’s color is bright blue, the planet has a strong magnetic field, a hot semi-liquid core and plenty of water
    The question is: how could the Sumerians know about the above things in days of old when there were neither telescopes nor satellites? Sychin claims he can answer the question. According to him, the Sumerians received secret tips from the aliens who the planet Nibiru, the twelfth planet sitting between Jupiter and Mars on that Berlin cylinder. The aliens allegedly visited Earth repeatedly every 3000 years. “It is all in the texts including the myth about Anki and Earth,” says Sychin. Andy Cheng, a researcher from the Voyager Two mission liaison team, admits that many similarities between the two planets do exist, the planets might as well be called “the twins.” As regards the all the other statements by Sychin, they “just astonish me,” as Mr. Cheng put it. “Finding water on Uranus and Neptune was not a mind-blowing experience. And all the planets but Mars and Venus have liquid cores. We also expected to find a magnetic field. The color of the planets ceased to be a mystery years ago,” said Mr. Cheng. Moreover, he believes that a planet X would be devoid of any life forms if it really existed in the solar system because of it would be located too faraway from the Sun.
    Mr. Cheng believes that the cylinder probably contained only the stylized images of random stars which by no means should be interpreted as a precise chart of the heavens. Francesca Roshberg-Halton, a leading expert in Sumerology at the University of Notre Dame, used a stronger word for her comment: “rubbish.” “The cuneiform characters can be interpreted in a most outrageous way. Tau Roger – Photographer

Tau Roger is a photographer working with conventional “analog”
methods using film and traditional darkroom materials. All of the works
in this show are silver gelatin prints made optically from film
negatives using a traditional enlarger.  A network engineer by
profession,  such photography and darkroom work represent a welcome
change from over-immersion in the digital world.  He works primarily in
medium and large format film producing 2.25″x2.25″ and 4″x5″ negatives.
For landscapes and more formal portraits the 4×5 view camera is his
preferred tool, partly for the greatly increased print quality of large
negatives but also because the deliberate style required by this type of
camera encourages looking carefully and thoughtfully at each image. For
casual portraits and fast changing subjects he often uses a medium
format camera producing 2.25″x2.25″ negatives. This camera can be easily
hand held and is much faster in use than the 4×5 while still providing
much higher image quality than 35mm.

experience. Like a true visionary with his camera he dares to show us
the darkest parts of ourselves, the human experience raw, open and
exposed. With the gentleness of a great teacher, his photographs allow

Max Grimm – Artist

When I paint I am able to return to my childhood. I am reminded of my
first set of watercolors. My mother was fascinated by watching me
experiment with colors as they ran into each other on the paper. It is a
memory of innocence and creativity. This is something I try to
replicate each time squeeze out some acrylics and pick up a brush.

I am still amazed at the myriad of colors that can be created by
mixing the primaries. It is an alchemical gift for the eyes. I try to
hold no preconceived ideas as I begin the creative process. During the
nurturing of the work, there comes a point when the paint, ink and panel
become more than the sum of their parts and take on a life of their
own. As I am growing older and hopefully wiser, I am able to see my
personal evolution through the history of my love of creating art. From
my childhood doodlings up to the present mixed media works on wood
panel, I have been able to discover new parts of my heart and avenues of
the psyche. I am given the privilege of ability to create images that
transcend language. For this, I am most humbled and eternally grateful.

As must all living things, I believe that my art must grow through
discovery and expansion into new realms using new mediums. I am very
excited at the possibilities of digital photography, assemblage, collage
and the combination of mediums and technologies both old and new. I
have found it impossible to be unexcited and not in love with this gift
of art.

exploring his medium as a tool for shamanic trance and initiatic states

Universalis who resides in Atlanta, Georgia. His book The Story of the

My Work has involved study in European and African Diasporic
herblore, rootwork and hoodoo, and initiated study and practice into
western hermeticism and ceremonial magick.  In addition, I am a student
of Taiji and Qigong as well as more external martial arts, and I have
been a serviteur of the loa for the last 20 years.  I began my training
in yoga in childhood, having been raised by parents with membership in
the Self-Realization Fellowship of Paramahansa Yogananda, and I began
guided training in European witchcraft and herblore in 1984 after
several abortive and immature attempts to practice it on my own through
reading what limited material was available to me at the time. My past
practical magickal training and involvement has dealt with the Sumerian
mythos and blood magick among other things.  I have extensive training
and experience in divination with the Tarot in particular. I grew up on
the Gulf Coast between Mobile and spending summers with my godparents in
New Orleans, Baton rouge, and Eunice (the New Orleans and Acadiana

Michael Crowley – Presenter and Author

Mike Crowley was born in Wales in 1948. In 1966 a Tibetan lama took
Mike as his student and, in 1970, ordained him as a layman of the Kagyud
order. Gradually, over the next twenty years or so, it became evident
to Mike that sacramental drug-use was central to the earliest forms of
Vajrayana (i.e. tantric) Buddhism, the evidence being concealed in coded
language and word-play. Since that time, Mike has been investigating
the use of psychedelics within Vajrayana Buddhism, tracing its origins
to the Vedic soma rite and perhaps further, possibly as far back as the
Indus Valley culture (4,000 BCE). This research has been compiled into a
book, Secret Drugs of Buddhism, which will be made available online
soon.

Not many years ago I was comparing the sudden end of a story that I
was reading, with my job that had moved to Mexico, when my wife said to
me; “that Book is Cursed”. It started to get good then the author died.
Another writer had picked it up and he died too. That was a challenge. I
realized that my response was to pick it up and finish it. I play folk
music so stealing a song was not new. But this was a book and I was not a
writer. I did not know then that I had joined an exclusive club. The HP
Lovecraft Circle of the Necronomicon Mythos. A few years went by of
hard work learning a new craft. My novella was finished, and I was more
than just hooked. I was stuffed, mounted and hanging on the wall.

Bill Zenn – Presenter

Bill Zenn has been a student of esoterica for about 25 years. He is a
Bishop with Gnostic and Apostolic succession,  a Free Illuminist, a

Max Grimm is a work in progress. Like his family, his art, yoga, the
mountains, the ocean and he who created them, Max loves poetry as much
as than the life which he has been graciously granted. Max has been a
teacher, an actor, a video producer, a chef, juvenile delinquent, a
printer, a scenic artist and lighting technician, drug addict,
construction worker, unemployed, self employed, a husband, son, father,
friend, artist, shaman, yogi, magus and poet. Max received the gift of
writing from his grandfather, a simple and gentle soul, blessed with a
practical philosophy, kind heart and the grace to turn an every day
phrase into a magical invocation. Aught else could come from Max’s

DJ Light is Sonny Haury and has been part of the EDM scene for over a
decade now, including the rave scene.He is an emissary who communicates
via music. Music is about community, it is a shared human experience.

Sid Reflux was born into a musical family and since day one was
surrounded by music. Learning the craft of beat matching and layering on
his fisher price turn table at age 3 he quickly rose in the ranks of
the pre-school recess scene with his stunning remix mash up of Baa Baa
Black Sheep and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. After years of rocking many
elementary school playgrounds across the US he fell into the dark
depths of a severe animal cracker addiction. After a long hiatus Sid
came back and better than ever, clean from his cravings for animal
shaped cookies. Coming back into the scene he loves so much in 1999 he
started working his way up the ladder once again starting as a party
kid, set up/clean up crew, flyer/street team, ticket guy eventually
becoming a Happyhardcore MCee in 2002 and then moving back behind the
turn tables in 2003.  Now after 8 years of djing across the south east
for just about every major rave crew Sid is right back where he belongs,
playing dirty funky beats for the party people to enjoy. Playing a wide
variety of EDM Sid is most often found spinning Hard Dance and Electro
House. A respected dj who cut his teeth with Vinyl records Sid’s future
is very bright. Weather you like it hard or funky the sets of this man
are sure to please.

DJ Carma, born Oleg Prisacari in 1983, is an up and coming electronic
music genre sensation. Inspired by the likes of Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk,
and Mauro Picotto, he makes his own productions, remixes, song editing,
along with eclectic monthly mix compilations and piano lessons. His
unique mixing style, which can be witnessed through his mixes,

THE ARABIA WORKING ON EASTER SUNDAY (BY COINCIDENCE)

A large turn out at Arabia brought us together for a Workshop (to be posted as a podcast…stay tuned!), extensive points Workings (see below) and a very powerful Healing Circle, so large we had to stand in a circle around Tau Ishaviva in the center, who was ailing (see below also) but who braved the climb and heat of the day anyway. Here is an extract of Tau AHA’s account of receiving the (many) remaing points of the known points chauds in out 97 degree system.

“I want to write a little before it leaves me about my experience Sunday with the points.  I received about 80 points from +D a +Isha. The receiving of the points itself was very interesting because I had so many done by two people with very different styles.  It was a good opportunity to really experience how this all works.  The first thing that I noticed that +Isha seemed to take an almost exclusive energy approach to it.  With her I felt an instant jolt then a slow build up of energy at each point.  Then the point would activate and the energy would seem to disperse.  With +D it was a more physical activation/stimulation of the point which seemed to cause a receptivity to the energy.  So it was a physical pressure followed by a burst of energy as the point awoke. The second thing of note is the loss of time that I seemed to experience.  I know that the process of activating all the points took a great deal of time only because of when we started and what time it was when we went down the mountain.  It only felt like about 10 minutes to me and there are whole sets of points that I have no recollection of being activated however, I could feel later that they were. After I felt definite shifts in consciousness as the points would find each other and build networks.  This manifested in time and space perception issues and sudden shifts in balance.  Once this passed I felt (and am still feeling) massive amounts of heat in certain parts of my body.  It started on my crown.  Then my hands and now my feet almost as though it is working its way back down my body.  When I say massive amounts, I mean it is uncomfortable to were shoes because of the heat flying out of my feet today. I will try to make more notes as I experience things. “

When we formed our Healing Circle, Tau Ishaviva was in the center.  Here is an extract of her account.

“I woke up that morning not feeling well, the muscles in my neck,
sholders, and chest, above my breasts, were hurting and making it a
bit painful to take a deep breath. I took some Tylenol and decided to
go anyway, hell, I often feel like crap.

I sat in the center of the healing circle, alone, while the others
raised energy with the Om Hum Trom Re Ah (Allen, I can’t remember how
to spell it?). I felt the energy being generated. I have issues with
accepting things so I was focusing on the people that were mentioned
who need healing energy and distibuting it to them. Even though I did
that, after the circle was done I did feel much improved, for a while.

I gave a reading of a text I enjoy. Here is what I read:

“Dancing Into Truth”
I am Spirit on Earth and I dedicate myself to channeling Love and
Truth into my life. I am a source of Light in the living body of
creation, ever growing in unity with all, as the universe and I flow
harmoniously in change together.

Love is my nature, Truth is my will. The essential masculine and
feminine principles as the God and the Goddess in all their forms
dwell within me. The ecstacy of their intertwining is the divine spark
of life into my deepest nature.

I am a wild child, a responsible adult, and a wise elder. I encompass
within myself the wealth of human experience. I welcome the fullness
of life with its joy and sorrow, as I work and play. Accepting into
memory all suppressed experiences, I release them with Love and
Forgiveness.

I Love as I Will and strive to do my True Will. The Truth of my
experience and purity of my heart enable me to govern myself. I share
a vision with all people, building a world based on Freedom and
Cooperation.

The universe flows through me and I use this Power to Create, Nurture,
and Heal. My love embraces violence and pain, and transmutes them into
peace and inner growth. I respect the autonomy of each person and
choose not to interfere either by pity or harm.

I create my own reality with the way I respond to my experiences. My
Spiritual nature guides my ego and shapes all I think, feel, and say.
I lovingly and willingly surrender to the beauty and perfection of all

Realizing the grace of the divine within, I laugh, sing, and dance in
the ever-present now. I am birthing a new magickal being within myself
as part of the planetary transformation of consciousness and evolution
of homo sapiens into homo veritas. True human; as we join together to
become God/Goddess.

Then I helped +Dositheos give points to Tau AHA so I’ll talk about
what I feel when I give points. I don’t SEE them as some people do. I
can feel them, once I’ve placed my thumbs on the location, sometimes
moving it around a bit to get the exact place. So, after consulting
the printed chart of the points, I look on the person and figure out
where they should be, then I put my thumb there (sometimes between my
two fingers, if it feels practicle, other times not for legistics
sake) and feel for the point. Then I open up my crown chakra and let
the universal energy flow down into me, I direct it to the ground to
mingle with earth energy and then back up my body, through my heart
chakra, down my arms and out my thumb into the point. I just open up
and let it happen, it’s all good.   : )

I suppose if any interpretation of the energy is done by me it’s
probably of the compassion type cause that’s my thing.    : )

I didn’t feel drained because I was letting the universal energy flow
through me instead of using my own.

As we started getting ready to leave for dinner though I think the
effects of the healing were beginning to wear. I got REALLY hungry.
The next day I woke up sick, fever and all. I really don’t think it
had anything to do with giving the points, it was coming on before
that. I was hoping that I hadn’t transmitted anything of my illness to
Tau AHA by giving him points. Maybe, since he said he had a clearing
out of his body on, I think that was Tuesday?, two days later. Maybe
that was him throwing off whatever I had. Glad you didn’t get sick Tau
AHA.

A brief report on the events on Arabia Mountain at the Vernal Equinox, March 20 2011
The essentials— The long anticipated  Consecration of now-bishop Brother  (now Tau) Max was at long-last manifested!.  I performed the consecration, with Tau Dositheos and Tau Indigo assisting.  We also did point Work as request, conducted a powerful and spirited healing circle, and signed and witnessed two new Charters, that of XM360 Lodge (familiar to many of our Facebook friends) and our first Lodge in Japan. We started out with a core group on the March wind-swept Consecration Rock on Arabia Mt, met up with others in the Nature Preserve, and still others at our traditional Indian banquet which followed.  Much accomplished, much to be done. Next Free Illuminist event on Arabia Mountain is scheduled for April 24, 2011.

SORT OFANCIENT ALIENS – VRIL
Well, it was at the Redstone Arsenal, not Wright-Patterson AFB (which I’ve never visited) but – aside from some people’s leaps and the conspicuous omission of Rudolph Hess (Vril Member from the start  to the end – died in Spandau Prison under mysterious circumstances at 93) it restates the case with a bit of my commentary first advanced on “UFO Hunters”.

In November of 1996 I received a video about World War II Germany pre and post and a secret organization named Vril its name linked to Atlantean time lines and one of its language composed of sounds and clicks.

The video mentioned that in Germany at the turn of the century and particularly after WW I many secret societies developed. One of these groups was the Vril Society.

In 1917 four members of the Vril society met in a cafe in Vienna. There was one woman and three men. The woman was a ‘spiritual medium’. They met under a veil of mystery and secrecy. They discussed secret revelations, the coming of the new age, the Spear of Destiny, the magical violet black stone, and making contact with ancient peoples and distant worlds.

Their source of power was the Black Sun, an infinite beam of light which, though invisible to the human eye, exists in anti-matter.

The Vril emblem became the Black Sun, a secret philosophy thousand of years old provided the foundation on which the occult practioners of the Third Reich would later build. The Black Sun symbol can be found in many Babylonian and Assyrian places of worship. They depicted the Black Sun – the godhead’s inner light in the form of a cross. This was not much different from the German’s Knight’s Cross.

The woman allegedly channeled information from aliens after which the Thule was crteated. they went on to build something called the Vril Machine. It allegedly was a saucer shape interdimensional time travel machine. Their first flight was allegedly in 1934.

Much of their work was done in the Black Forest.

Thule Society members were allegedly the first group to attempt the back-engineering of an extraterrestrial spacecraft. “A German writer, John Von Helsing, describes the discovery of a crashed saucer in the Black Forest in 1936 and says that this technology was taken and combined with the information the Vril Society had received through channeling and was made into a further project called the Haunebu.

German aircraft historian Henry Stevens states, “Haunebu 1 was allegedlythe first large flying saucer developed in Germany. According to plans allegedly obtained from classified German SS files, the Haunebu 1 was approximately seventy-five feet in diameter and probably lifted off for the first time in August 1939, a few weeks before the outbreak of World War II.

Reference: UFO Sightings

The Coming Race (original title), also reprinted as Vril: The Power of the Coming Race is a novel published in 1870 by Edward Bulwer-Lytton. The novel is an early example of science fiction, sometimes cited as the first of this genre. However, many early readers believed that its account of a superior subterranean master race and the energy-form called Vril was accurate, to the extent that some theosophists accepted the book as truth. Furthermore, since 1960 there is a conspiracy theory about a secret Vril-Society.

The origins of the Nazi version of the theory of the master race were in 19th century racial theories of Count Arthur de Gobineau, who argued that cultures degenerate when distinct races mix. It was believed at this time that southern European peoples were racially mixed with non-European Moors from across the Mediterranean Sea, while Northern Europeans remained pure. Proponents of Nordic theory further argued that Nordic peoples had developed innate toughness and determination due to the harsh, challenging climate in which they evolved. Thus the racial ideal of these theorists was the tall, blond and blue-eyed Nordic individual.

The German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer was one of the earliest proponents of the theory presenting a hierarchical racial model of history, attributing civilizational primacy to the “white races” who gained their sensitivity and intelligence by refinement in the rigorous North:

The highest civilization and culture, apart from the ancient Indians and Egyptians, are found exclusively among the white races; and even with many dark peoples, the ruling caste or race is fairer in colour than the rest and has, therefore, evidently immigrated, for example, the Brahmans, the Incas, and the rulers of the South Sea Islands. All this is due to the fact that necessity is the mother of invention because those tribes that emigrated early to the north, and there gradually became white, had to develop all their intellectual powers and invent and perfect all the arts in their struggle with need, want and misery, which in their many forms were brought about by the climate. This they had to do in order to make up for the parsimony of nature and out of it all came their high civilization.

Nevertheless, such theorists usually accepted that considerable variety of hair and eye colour existed even within the racial categories they recognised. Contrary to a popular myth, the Nazis themselves did not discriminate against Germans who were not blonde or blue-eyed, or had only one of these features. Adolf Hitler and most Nazi officials (not to mention most Germans at the time) had dark hair and were considered to be “Aryans.”

The postulated superiority of these people was said to make them born leaders, or a “master race”. Other authors included Guido von List (and his associate Lanz von Liebenfels) and the British racial theorist Houston Stewart Chamberlain, all of whom felt that the white race and Germanic peoples were superior to others, and that given the purification of the white race and German people from the races who were “polluting” it, a new Millenarian age of Aryan god-men would arrive.

The term Aryan derives from the ancient peoples who lived in Iran (see also Iranian peoples) and the Indus Valley. Following the ideas of Gobineau and others, the Nazi theorist Alfred Rosenberg claimed that these were a dynamic warrior people who originated in northern climates, from which they migrated south, eventually reaching India. They were supposed to be the ancestors of the ancient Germanic tribes, who shared their warrior values. Building from Nietzsche, who stated “it is quite in order that we possess no religion of oppressed Aryan races, for that is a contradiction: a master race is either on top or it is destroyed” (The Will to Power, 145), Rosenberg claimed that Christianity was an alien Semitic slave-morality inappropriate to the warrior Aryan master race and thus supported a melange of aspects of Vedic and Zoroastrian teachings, along with pre-Christian European paganism, which he considered to be distinctively Aryan in character.

In Nazi Germany, marriage of an “Aryan” with an “Untermensch” was forbidden. To maintain the purity of the Germanic master race, eugenics was practiced. In order to eliminate “defective” citizens, the T-4 Euthanasia Program was administered by Karl Brandt to rid the country of the mentally retarded or those born with genetic deficiencies, as well as those deemed to be racially inferior. Additionally, a program of compulsory sterilization was undertaken and resulted in the forced operations of hundreds of thousands of individuals. Many of these policies are generally seen as being related to what eventually became known as the Holocaust.

The concepts involved in this theory of Germanic superiority is strongly contested. Most modern scholars see no connection between Indo-European population movements and alleged “Nordic” racial characteristics.

Fictional Representations

Aryan master race ideology was common throughout the educated and literate strata of the Western world until after World War II. Such theories are commonplace in early 20th Century fantasy literature. For example, a distinct belief in the status of Aryan humanity as the “master race” underlies much of the work of fantasists such as H. P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard’s literature. Howard’s most famous creation, Conan the Barbarian is supposed to have lived between the fall of Atlantis and the “rise of the sons of Arya” (i.e. the Aryans). In his story Wings In The Night, Howard also wrote,

The ancient empires fall, the dark-skinned peoples fade and even the demons of antiquity gasp their last, but over all stands the Aryan barbarian, white-skinned, cold-eyed, dominant, the supreme fighting man of the earth.

In other cases, while the phrase “master race” itself is seldom used, the inhumane and barbaric treatment of those not belonging to the “master race” in the fictional fascisms seems to imply that such an ideology is present. S.M. Stirling’s Domination of the Draka is a fictional empire which is explicitly based on the “master race” concept. After World War I in the Draka universe, the Draka citizens adopt an ideology which calls for all non-Drakan humanity to be reduced to chattel slavery. The Chosen, from Stirling’s previous General series (which no doubt inspired the Draka) portrays perhaps a more realistic look at the “master race” concept, including the consequences of such a policy on a society. The Chosen, who treat other peoples with contempt, calling them “animals”, are eventually destroyed by their own slaves, the lowest of the low, despite the Chosen’s superior weapons, training, and centuries of eugenic breeding. The fictional fascist “Freedom Party” that rules the Confederate States of America in Harry Turtledove’s American Empire series of novels also echoes the concept.

The James Bond film Moonraker is another fictionalized account of a master race – the Adolf Hitler-like megalomanic villain Sir Hugo Drax pre-selected a diverse group of astronaut trainees to become the progenitors of a master race that will repopulate Earth after the planet has been nerve-gassed. Similar ideas are explored in science fiction. An episode of The X-Files is entitled Herrenvolk. It presents the story of Nazi scientists saved by Americans after the War – during the Operation Paperclip – and their connections with aliens, which led them to successfully create a superior race of alien/men hybrids. Likewise, in The Other Side, an episode of Stargate SG-1, the Eurondans are portrayed as white supremacists who have created a purified Nordic-like population, planning to annihilate other peoples, who they refer to as “Breeders” because of their indiscriminate breeding, in rejection of eugenics.

This document has a long history of development, beginning in the 1980s in an effort to trace my own lineages, on my web site now called “ASSEMBLY OF THE KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM OF SOLOMON-LODGE OF THE SONS & DAUGHTERS OF AARON” and revised in 2009, work done by Tau Apiryon in the early 1990s and additional work by Tau Dositheos, Tau Thomas, Tau Sunce, Tau Samlah, Tau Sir Leonis and myself, done in the first decade of the 21st Century C.E. Much standard source material has also been repeatedly consulted.

Egregore Rather Than Faith-Profession

I was consecrated by Tau Silenus, William Gary Keith Breeze in Brooklyn NY on November 19, 1988. I cross consecrated with Tau Apiryon, David Forrest Scriven in Atlanta GA December 10, 1993. I was reconsecrated by Scriven, Lynn Scriven (Soror Helena) assisting at the Scriven home in Riverside, California May 25, 1997.
Allen Greenfield was Elected to the Episcopate by the Holy Synod of the Neopythagorean Gnostic Church August 21, 1986, He was consecrated by Patriarch Bertiaux in Chicago IL USA December 4 1993.

A statement on spiritual legacy by Rt.
Rev. T Allen Greenfield
Please note that, as Tau Michael Bertiaux has held, since June 16, 1979, all major independent lines of the traditional apostolic succession through consecration at that time by Bishop Forest Gregory Barber, all such lines flow to me by virtue of my consecrations by Bertiaux. Bertiaux, later reconsecrated by Jorge Rodriguez, then also consecrated me. In line with MY FORMER ASSOCIATES AT “OTO’s” Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica, Patriarch Tau Silenus and Primate Tau Apiryon, I hold that there is a distinction between, on the one hand, Spiritual Appointment and Consecration in the lineage of Edward Alexander Crowley (Baphomet 33 * 90* 96* XI° MA&P R MM) and, on the other, the traditional Apostolic Succession. Both have their importance and validity. The issue is passage of egregore and empowerment, not any particular faith or creed.
In my view, and, in having held both, I believe I can render a rather well informed and detached opinion on this. I held the succession of Baphomet as a Bishop “now and forever” through Consecration by both the Absolute Grand Patriarch of the Ordo Templi Orientis Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (November 19, 1988 Brooklyn NY). While I am no longer associated with EGC-OTO, I hold with the Augustinian doctrine “once a bishop-always a bishop” though I claim -and would have -no authority within OTO as of late July, 2006. As Tau Silenus recognized me in writing unconditionally as Bishop in writing prior to my becoming an OTO initiate, I maintain I hold the succession of Baphomet, such as it is. Others are free to disagree; nobody questions my Full Apostolic Succession, which is what counts magically.
The “Baphomet descent” doctrine peculiar to the current OTO management was, in my opinion, a reaction to questions about their own Apostolic Succession, and nothing more, a silly over reaction typical of them.
I also hold the Latter Day Saints succession through Bishop Conway, and the Doinel Succession through various consecrations. The Honorary Title of “Rabbi” was recently also given me by the Fellowship Assembly, which I accept in the sense of being a “teacher of spirituality” in the Reform Jewish tradition.

What Allen Greenfield Really Believes
It is my own conviction that verifiable spiritual powers are demonstrably attributable to various lineages of spiritual succession, be this the so-called “Succession of the Apostles” (which descends from the ancient Roman State Religion through Roman Christianity), various non-apostolic but similar lines of succession (Latter Day Saints, Doinel Gnostic, New Aeon, et al), or blood lineages as in the hereditary Hindu Brahmins or Hebrew Kohenim, from which I descend. I profess only two fundamental convictions in these endeavors: I advocate Scientific Illuminism, or the method of science employed in pursuit of the aims of religion, and I holds firmly to the conviction that the world as-it-is is
sufficiently unsatisfactory that exploration of almost any ethical “out-of-the-box” alternative, however unconventional, is worth the effort. We consider this Tikkun Olam, the attempt to improve the world as envisioned in our native great Hebraic tradition.
I hold also with Tau Michael Bertiaux that “Apostolic Succession” is of value as a continuation of the most ancient priesthoods of Egypt and Rome through the Christian communion, and that special mystical powers “objectively” are transferred by consecration in these lineages. My particular assertion is that this can be objectively verified through scientific experimentation, similar to that performed in parapsychology with spiritual healers. The legend of Ormus, the Egyptian Priest converted in apostolic times to Christianity, and transforming Egyptian Rites into a mode suitable to the Aeon of Osiris is, at least allegorically, a fair hint of the orderly continuity between ancient Near Eastern religions and the Christian Succession in the Eastern Churches, making it a suitable vehicle for continuity in our times. In the Western Churches, the Apostolic Succession existed in the many currents of the long-enduring state religion of Rome, which can be traced to the early Roman ruler Numa Pompilius, founder of the College of Pontiffs and the office of Pontifex Maximus, hundreds of years before Pauline Christianity; passing through the Roman Imperial State as one with the Emperor as Pontifex Maximus from the time of Julius Caesar until the Christian Emperor Gratian renounced the title in 379 E.V., apparently in favor of the Bishop of Rome, Pope Damasus I. (238) In 1655, Antonio Barberini, nephew of Urban VIII, was consecrated to the Episcopate under authority of the Bishop of Rome, by Bishops Scanarello, Bottini and Govotti. He was Archbishop of Remes 1657 untill his death in 1671, and was made a Cardinal. It is
from Bishop Barberini that the Roman Succession from Peter branches off from the Bishops of Rome.
(239) Michael le Tellier was consecrated by Barberini in 1668. He was confessor to King Louie XIV of France, and a Jesuit Provincal.
(240) Jaques Benigne de Bousseut, was consecrated by le Tellier in 1670 as Bishop of Mieux, France.
(241) James Coyon de Matignon, was consecrated by de Bousseut in 1693.
(242) Dominicus Marie Varlet, Consecrated in 1719 in Paris by Bishop de Matignon, assisted by the Bishop of Quebec and the Bishop of Claremont. He was named Coadjutor to the Roman Catholic Bishop of Babylon who died on November 20, 1717 and Bishop Varlet succeeded to the title. After a period in Persia at Schamake, he was suspended from office for alleged technical irregularities, including the confirmation of 604 candidates in Holland, whom he had confirmed at the request of the Church in Amsterdam. The Dutch Church had been without a Bishop for 18 years as a punishment from Rome because the Dutch Church refused to cooperate in the persecution of the Jansenists in Holland. Following the election of
(243) Cornelius Van Steenhoven to serve as Archbishop of Utrecht, the Primatial See of Holland, Varlet agreed to perform the Consecration, which he did on October 15, 1724, thus making Van Steenhoven the seventh Archbishop of Utrecht and canonical successor to Saint Willibrod, the British missionary who had brought the faith to Holland. In this consecration was born the Old Catholic Church.

Egregore as concept -History

The word "egregore" derives from the Greek word, ἐγρήγοροι (egrḗgoroi), meaning "watchers" (also transliterated "grigori"). The word appears in the Septuagint translation of the Book of Lamentations, as well as the Book of Jubilees and the Book of Enoch.

Eliphas Lévi, in Le Grand Arcane ("The Great Mystery", 1868) identifies "egregors" with the tradition concerning the fathers of the nephilim, describing them as "terrible beings" that "crush us without pity because they are unaware of our existence."

The concept of the egregore as a group thoughtform was developed in works of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Rosicrucians and has been referenced by writers such as Valentin Tomberg.

Contemporary usage

Gaetan Delaforge, in Gnosis magazine in 1987, defines an egregore as a kind of group mind which is created when people consciously come together for a common purpose."

The concept has enjoyed renewed popularity among practitioners of Chaos Magic, following the Corporate Metabolism series of articles by Paco Xander Nathan, which were published in 2001.

The result of a synergy of thought could be the most concise description of this state of mind.

The notion of "egregor" also appears in Andreev's Roza Mira, where it represents the shining cloud-like spirit associated with the Church. It is a common belief in Russia that the word "egregor" originated from this spiritual book.

The Russian occult movement DEIR, led by Dmitry Verischchagin, also employs this concept.

The book "The Art of Memetics"  provides a detailed and multi-faceted explication of what an egregore is, including instructions for how to cultivate them.

Congregational Illuminist bodies exist and are springing up, in free communion one with the other, all over the world. Our aim is to facilitate this non-authoritarian approach and process. We also are a growing presence in cyber space, with well over 1,200 members on our Causes – Congregational Illuminism on Facebook and growing daily.

Public Report of The Prague Working

Work was conducted during Tau Allen Greenfield (TAG) invitational visit to Prague during this summer (2010) – 12th to 19th of July.

The goals of this work were:

1. To consecrate members of Czech and other European groups of congregational illuminists into all Episcopal

and Gnostic successions that TAG holds.

2. To initiate members of Czech and other European groups of congregational illuminists into Ancient and

Primitive Rite of Memphis and Misraim

3. To initiate members of Czech and other European groups of congregational illuminists into Fratres Lucis

4. To practice both consecratory and initiatory work so that it can be continued by local bodies

5. To practice power of drawing ordinary object sacred through power of Episcopal and Gnostic successions

All five major objectives were achieved – see details below.

Given time frame also provided a lot of opportunities to discuss various topics related not only to esoteric research and Episcopal and Gnostic work but also to principles upon which congregational illuminism is built and more general topics.

As consequence of provided consecrations and initiations several groups formed, each of them focusing on specific area of practice. All groups are already in operation and having positive results.
